Strategically:
You’ll survey an evolving and immature market, looking for opportunities, advantages and chinks in the competition’s armor. Your analysis of business requirements and market feedback will be essential to decision-makers up and down the chain.
Touching most of the points on the strategic side of the product management triad, you’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the sales, marketing and PM teams on a daily basis.
Tactically:
Simultaneously get your hands dirty and shine the light of opportunity on a dark space
From briefing pre-sales on upcoming releases to sharing customer feedback with engineers, you’ll to know every inch of your products – and translate that understanding into the language of development or buyer personas as necessary.
You’ll chip in on RFPs and make sure the marketing communication engine is running smoothly and going in the right direction.

Responsibilities:
- Identify and prioritize market opportunities based on revenue potential, profitability and sustainable competitive advantage.
- Define detailed business requirements and provide market feedback to development
- Support Sales/Pre-Sales with deep product knowledge and market info including briefing sales team on product initiatives.
- Provide RFP/RFI assistance
- Monitor competitor offerings and update Management and Sales & Marketing.
- Define distinctive competence for product lines.
- Develop pricing strategies for existing and new product offerings for various markets.
- Look for partnering opportunities to help complete product offering in niche verticals.
- Aid Marketing & Sales in the development and delivery of product presentations, white papers, collateral pieces (e.g. features & benefits, use cases), sales tools, messaging, market/competitive positioning etc.
- Aid in the development and implementation of the company’s Strategic Marketing Plan
Who Should Apply
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree (B.Comm, B.Eng., BS in Computer Science etc.) or equivalent experience. MBA preferred, but not necessary.
- Minimum 5 years product marketing experience with a technology organization.
- Minimum 5 years experience working with enterprise-level software sales and marketing
- Strong marketing skills a must. Capable of developing marketing programs that will grow sales.
- Pre-sales/engineering experience a plus
