Responsibilites:

• Design, enhance, document and maintain mobile video applications on the Android platform prioritizing: stability, user experience and maintainability factors.
• Measure and characterize performance of one or more modules, and suitably improve performance as needed
  • The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced start-up environment with opportunity to work on a world-class mobile consumer application.
  • Communicate and manage features and timelines with team members.

Who Should Apply

The successful candidate will be a developer with Android experience and a background in other mobile platforms. They are open minded and possess a drive to learn new things in a very short time frame building on the variety of tools and experiences they currently possess. They will

• Proven expertise with Google Android and related development tools is essential (1 year)
• Experience with development on other contemporary mobile platforms such as Blackberry, iPhone, Windows Mobile or Symbian. (3 to 5 years)
• Proficient in communications protocol development (tcp/http/xml) (3 to 5 years)
• Fluent in Java Programming. (3 to 5 years)
• Strong design and abstraction skills.
• Experience with variety of development processes (Test Driven Design, Agile Methods)
• Experience in working with embedded systems and platforms.
• Very strong embedded debugging skills.
• Working knowledge of embedded hardware configurations (memory, flash, cpu) to assist with performance and application functionality assessment.
  • Extensive user interface development experience, particularly on mobile devices.
  • Expertise in optimizing network-intensive applications.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
