Kik Interactive is a venture-backed startup in Waterloo, Ontario developing products in the mobile space. Kik is creator of Kik Messenger, the cross-platform, mobile messenger that has 10 million users and growing! We’re also the makers of Clik, the smart TV platform that launched in February. The Challenge
You are a serious web applications developer and know that doesn’t just mean CSS and HTML layouts. You have a deep understanding of server-side development as well as the finer points of JavaScript. You know how to build a system from the ground up, and make it scale.
In this role you will be responsible for the integration of our mobile apps with our online services and will be looked to for architectural and technological guidance for our web initiatives. Things will move quickly, and you’ll be leading the charge.
About You
Your Toolbox:
Extensive development experience on high volume servers
Deep understanding of JavaScript and client-side performance
Knowledge of the major server-side languages
Able to work closely with designers
Strong understanding of OOP and application design
Experience with Java, C++ or C# development
