The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Business Solutions, this is an opportunity to support a successful sales team and work with an established roster of clients. As a primary technical resource for field sales you will be responsible for driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of sales cycles. Working in conjunction with the sales team, you’ll be the key technical advisor and product advocate for all services.

  • Help customers understand the ROI of their investments and how prescribed solutions and services will contribute to their business.
  • Work with customers to understand their requirements and anticipate needs while solving current problems.
  • Keep a constant eye on service quality and satisfaction.
  • Present to audiences and be able to deliver technical presentations to individuals or groups with varying technical abilities and demonstrate how our company services will best satisfy their needs in terms of quality, price, and delivery.
  • Educate and support the sales team with technical expertise on product offerings and applications to help provide a solutions-based offering to customers.
  • Provide the sales team with the information to present customer quotations.
  • Assist the sales team in prospect evaluation while providing feedback on market demand, based on requirements gathering.
  • Accompany the sales team or travel independently to visit customers and have the ability to quickly establish rapport and credibility with them.
  • Assist in lead and prospect generation and identification.
  • Keep current with technology by attending industry conferences, trade shows, marketing events and technical committees.
  • Evaluate and drive new product opportunities and product customizations while representing customers for in-house product development programs.
  • Fully grasp business models and where margins are made.

  • You are a strong presenter who can articulate business value and relay complex technologies to non-technical audiences.
  • You have a keen eye for what it takes to deliver best in class services and thrive under tight deadlines with a sense of urgency.
  • You have a passion for understanding the competition and doing what it takes to stay on top of the market.
  • You bring voice and data expertise to the table, with particular strengths in voice technologies and how they relate to emerging SMB offerings.
  • You know business applications like Microsoft and Sugar CRM and IT architecture intimately.
  • You possess a degree or diploma in technology with at least three years experience in sales application engineering or an engineering role involving significant customer interaction
