Salary range is $65-80K, pending experience and is negotiable. Role is full-time. We are committed to working with talented individuals and will compensate appropriately.

Key Responsibilities:
This demanding role requires very strong object oriented design and development skills with strong experience in J2EE and J2EE. The successful candidate will participate in research activities to drive innovation as we increase our leadership position within our market category. Candidates who can demonstrate prior project successes working with the required technologies combined with exceptional written and oral communication skills are considered ideal.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years design and development experience creating object oriented applications using Java and J2EE (portfolios/samples will be requested during the interview process).
  • Comprehensive understanding of the systems development life cycle.
  • Experience in developing multi-threaded architectures.
  • Experience with data structures and algorithm design/development.
  • Experience with code optimization and application performance profiling.
  • Excellent experience with OOP Programming Techniques and component architectures.
  • Experience with delivery of business logic leveraging EJBs.
  • High energy/motivation level with a proven ability to deliver.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Java/J2EE
  • EJB, Java Beans, JNDI, JMS, RMI, XML, JDBC, HTML, WSDL, SQL and JSP
  • Web Services

Assets:

  • Experience with Hibernate, Spring.
  • Experience with Design Patterns, OOAD, MVC
  • Experience with IBM’s WebSphere, DB2, Rational toolset and SVN an asset.
  • Experience working with OLTP and OLAP solutions.
  • Experience with OWASP.
  • Experience with other programming languages a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems programming interfaces, utilities and tools
  • Experience with Spring framework and AJAX
