The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced PHP/MySQL Developer to join our growing, talented group of developers and designers. The selected candidate will work on a variety of projects, small and large, for our newly redesigned eCommerce site. It’s important that applicants have experience in the following areas:

  • PHP
  • eCommerce
  • MySQL management / optimization
  • Caching / Scalability (memcached, APC, redis)

Responsibilities:

  • Create web applications using primarily PHP
  • Implement web interfaces using XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Work with a team of developers in an Agile development environment, under the guidance of a Project Manager
  • Work independently to meet deadlines for weekly development assignments

Who Should Apply

Requirements:

  • 3 years’ experience building online applications
  • 2-3 years experience with PHP development
  • Strong MySQL skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Skilled with HTML, CSS
  • Portfolio of previously completed web-software
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Bonus Points:

  • Experience deploying and maintaining web server technology
  • Familiarity with source control systems
  • Experience with “Agile” development methodologies (whatever “Agile” means)
